{ Day 3 } of Teacher Appreciation week! Today we gave the teachers a “Thank You for making my year just write” gift – and included a jar full of colorful markers.
I’m going to be honest – I thought I bite off more than I could chew this year. I wasn’t sure I could find (and make) five “thank you” gifts for our teachers, but this project has been so much fun! Bonus: my son had the best time helping me! Lots of quality time together!
Supplies
Here are the supplies we used (you can pull it up on your smart phone and cross off items as you shop!):
- Free printable – available at I Should Be Mopping the Floor (click here).
- White card stock.
- Scissors.
- Markers, pens, pencils, highlighters – the possibilities are endless!
- Hole punch.
- Ribbon or twine.
- Jar (optional).
Note: I bought all of my supplies on Amazon! Here are the supplies and links I used: white card stock, Bic permanent markers (ultra fine point), Bic permanent markers (fine point), and colorful baker’s twine.
Directions
There are four easy steps to make your own! (If you have a few spare moments, take some time to browse through I Should Be Mopping the Floor! Kristi has the cutest ideas!)
- Grab your free printable. Available here.
- Print onto white card stock and cut out.
- Tie up the writing supplies, or throw ’em in a jar.
- Punch a hole and use the twine to attach the printable.
And ta-da! As our preschool teacher would say, “Easy peasy lemon squeezy!” Total time: less than 10-minutes!
Day three is in the books! Here’s a recap of our gifts so far this week:
Day 1: Lip balm thank you cards (click the photo for the printable and instructions)
