Mother’s Day Flowers

Mother's Day Flowers Handprint Footprint Who Arted 00

Remember those adorable hand and foot print bouquets I posted earlier this week? (If not, click here.)

I loved the idea so much, I wanted to try and make a floral arrangement the same way.

And here’s the beautiful result:

A colorful pot of “flowers” made up of my children’s hand and foot prints.

These are going to be Mother’s Day gifts for their Grandma’s, so we added heart shaped leaves and wrote down reasons we love them!

I love giving personal gifts (can you tell?)!

Here’s how we made them:  First, we traced our hand and foot prints onto paper and cut them out.

Then I cut out a bunch of heart shaped leaves. (You can download my free template here!)

Once the leaves were cut out, we decorated them. (You can leave them plain, or write down reasons you love your Mom / Grandma!)

I bought some grilling skewers at the grocery store and painted them green.

Then I used a hot glue gun and glued the prints to the top of the sticks.

When they were dry, I did the same thing to attach the leaves.

Then we painted some flowers pots for our flowers. (This is optional. My son LOVES to paint, so I wanted to make sure he could add his own touch.)

I set a floral Styrofoam ball in each flower pot to hold the flowers.

Then I just started sticking in the prints! It was very easy to push the skewers into the floral ball. (And if you mess up, it’s easy to take them out and rearrange.)

I also tied green curling ribbon around the skewers to make the bouquet look a little fuller.

I think they turned out great!

I can’t wait to hand these out on Mother’s Day!
