May Day is a celebration of spring. And after the winter we’ve had – who isn’t ready for spring?!
This holiday is a great excuse to ding dong ditch your neighbors, family and friends. (I promise, they’ll thank you for it!)
These are the colorful May Day cones my children and I put together this year – I love the way they turned out!
It’s so easy to do, I thought I’d share the template with you! Just print, cut, glue and fill!

Print the template onto brightly colored paper and cut out. If you want to add a little pizzazz to your cone, print and cut out the embellishments as well.
I strung the embellishments together with string, but this is completely optional! You can add ribbon, glitter or extra decorations to the outside – get creative and make it your own!
Now the tricky part: roll the paper into a cone and glue the sides together. (Helpful tip: I used a clothes pin to hold the paper in place until the glue dried.)
Once the glue is dry, punch a hole into each side and add a handle with ribbon.
Now it’s time to fill it up!
Get creative! There is no wrong way to do this!
I cut plastic wrap into rectangles, added candy, wrapped it up (like a burrito), then twisted both ends and tied with ribbon.
We also added colorful pin wheels and a note to each one… And there you have it!
I can’t wait to go around and delivery these on May 1st!
Do you celebrate May Day? If so, I’d love to hear about your traditions! Head over to my Facebook page and share!
Happy May Day!
