National Hug Day is January 21st. If your family and friends live far away, you can still celebrate the day… by mailing them a hug!
All you need are:
- Brightly colored paper
- Pencil / Pen
- Scissors
- Tape
- Decorating Supplies: Markers, crayons, glue, glitter
- Envelope
- Stamp
Let’s get started!
Trace your hand prints onto a piece of paper. Carefully cut both prints out. Write a message on the front and decorate to your hearts content!
Cut a strip of paper into a long, thin strand (I made mine 11″ x 1″). Fold the paper in an accordian pattern.
Tape the accordian strip of paper to the back of each hand print.
Write the mailing address on the envelope, put a stamp on the front, stick your “hug” inside and mail!
Hugs are a great surprise for anyone! And you don’t have to wait until National Hug Day to mail a hug. Hugs go great with birthday, anniversary and thank you cards!
