Ever wondered what to do with all those Christmas cards every year? How about this: Make an adorable keepsake ornament!
I stumbled upon this tutorial from Martha Stewart five years ago and tweaked it slightly. Instead of cardstock, I used photo Christmas cards. I also threaded a ribbon through the entire ball once it was created to hang from the tree. I absolutely love the way these ornaments look! They add so much to our Christmas tree! And the best part is, they don’t cost much to make! Here’s what you need: a pencil, scissors, glue, ribbon and old Christmas cards. (Again, click here for the tutorial.) As soon as January 1st rolls around, I make one for our house, my Mom and my mother-in-law. Here are our Christmas cards from the last five years: It took me about 20-minutes to make each one, and since I’ve made them so many years in a row, I don’t even use a pattern anymore. If you have any questions, please ask! I am here to help! Happy creating and Merry Christmas! UPDATE 12/14: To download a template, click here.
